A Wilderness Experience Close to Kodiak City
According to the Alaska tourism site www.alaska.org, the Pasagshak area "offers recreationalists and travelers access to great fishing beaches and rivers, surf spots, state parks, and scenic views of alpine passes and ocean. There’s also a private ranch here, where (horses and cattle) wander the open lands.”
6 Guest Rooms with Private Bathrooms
Kalsin Bay Inn is a sister property to Driftwood Wilderness Lodge in Larsen Bay on Kodiak Island. DWL is also operated by Super Host Nick Blanco, who has been featured on TV shows Life on the Edge and Building Alaska. Nick is honored to have great Google Reviews from the hundreds of guests he has hosted at DWL during the past 10 years.
There are 6 rooms for guests, each with their own double-bed and private bathroom. Kitchen, living room, and laundry facilities are shared.
This modern “guest house” has a shared full kitchen, dining area, laundry room, freezers and sitting room with TV and free wi-fi throughout. All bedrooms have a private bath, sink and toilet.
A respite from the rigors of your day in the wilderness
01.
Pond, River, Ocean within Steps of Our Inn
This is the perfect spot for a group of hunters, fishermen or wilderness enthusiasts. It is far enough from Kodiak to provide a wilderness experience and close enough to pick up groceries or go out to lunch. For those who like river, pond and ocean fishing – the Pasagshak area has it ALL.
02.
Beautiful Ranch Setting
There are Loose Livestock signs posted on the highway for good reason. Horses and cattle graze on public lands and typically take themselves to the beach each morning.

Freezers and Fish Prep Station
We have a fish prep station and freezer for guests on a first-come, self-serve basis.
Beachcombing, hiking or fishing
DWL’s new location in Kalsin Bay, a half hour from Kodiak City on #KodiakIsland offers far more than fishing: beaches, hiking, bar/restaurant next door, loose livestock and horses. If you do like to fish, DWL-Kalsin Bay offers river, pond and ocean fishing, within walking distance.
